Unit 04 - Using Type |
|
I saved the file as a GIF and placed it on my First Portfolio page. Then I created a second logo without the arc and in a smaller size, keeping all the effects that I used on the larger image and placed that in the heading for each unit. |
For the logo on page one of this Photoshop Portfolio I chose the font, "Abbess" from my font collection because while it is decorative, it is clear to read. Since the type is turned into a bitmapped graphic I don't have to worry if this font resides on other user's system and so I can pick whatever font I have in my system to make my design.I decided to use two lines, using different point sizes for each line. I created my name in 48 points and the Photoshop Portfolio in 30 points. On the options bar of whether I wanted antialias, etc. I chose, "crisp." I began with black so that I could easily see the shapes of the letters.
