This is the original picture from "Adobe's Classroom in a Book," CD-ROM in Chapter 5. |
I began with the picture on the left.
Erased part of the arch. The door > transformed perspective. Statue
head > flipped, scaled smaller > altered the hue. Created a masked
gradient with a subtle gray white to create the look of light falling
on the background.

Still using the same layers from lesson 5 > imported the bird from lesson 6 > flipped horizontally. Masked water to blend bird into the new background. Sharpened the contrast of the bird. Adjusted the colors of the background to make it look like Fall. Created a black to transparent gradient layer and placed over the background to make the top right fade. |
Used the weeds image from Lesson 6. Did the exercise describe for extracting forcing a background > placed in the foreground. Transformed > scaled the arch to fit the screen. Changed the color range. Added a paint daub filter and changed the contrast and darkness. |

Used the bird again > added the extracted weeks from the previous picture. Adjusted the brightness of the background and adjusted the color range. |
