I used my original image leaving the picture of me as the background. Then I dragged the top three layers from the "recolor.psd" file from the H.O.T. file and placed them on top. I colored the globe yellow and chose the layer to be "overlay" instead of, "normal." Then I added effects of "Inner glow" and "Inner shadow." I also give the ring outer glow effects. I put the title in the image with the text tool and saved in high quality JPEG. |
This is saved as a GIF file, diffusion with only 4 colors. I wanted to see what this would do to the image. Yuck. |

Original image from work file in "Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Classroom in a Book" CD-ROM Lesson 4, "Working With selections."I took the original document in the Unit 4 CD, changed the dpi and file size to begin my new version. |
Selected the book with the rectangle Marquee tool > scaled > enlarged. Selected image number 5 with the lasso tool, used the transform tool to make it smaller > rotated > and then copied to form #55 > sharpened the contrast. Selected the black oval with the oval select tool, scaled larger > selected a new color > moved on top of the book. Selected flower using the magic wand tool > made two copies, scaling into different sizes > changed the hue saturation of the colors. Increased the contrast of the lock and moved it to position with the pen > rotated and flipped horizontally. Enlarged the globe, changed the color saturation. Added blue background. |
